Mrs Eileen Rabey, the widow of our late Liveryman C. J. Rabey was clothed as a Freeman of the Company by Master, David Spencer-Phillips on December 2nd 2008.

Dr. Christian Steinmann
Dr.Christian Steinmann is the immediate Past Zunftmeister of the Zimmerleuton Guild of Zurich. This Swiss Guild has long had close connections with the Joiners and Ceilers Company of London. Many visits by Guild Members and Liverymen have been exchanged both for the Zurich Guild's Secheleuton in April and the Lord Mayor's Show in London in November . So it was very appropriate when Dr Steinmann became a Freeman of the Company in October 2008, the second member of the Zimmerleuton Guild of Zurich to be so clothed. Later on March 12th Christian was invested as a Freeman of the City of London under the watchfull "eye" of John Wilkes, The late Master of the Company, and the Chamberlain's Clerk
