The
Master Joiner's Purse The Joiners and Ceilers Company is active in promoting the craft of quality joinery and woodcarving. To this end a sponsorship scheme, known as 'The Master Joiner's Purse' was set up to mark the year 2000. It seeks to assist people who wish to expand their knowledge of the Crafts of the Company and who need a little help along the way. Candidates could be re-training into the craft, or be young people who need to purchase books for study or tools for practice. Even those writing books about the crafts might be considered. Candidates will have to satisfy certain criteria and are expected to keep the Company fully informed of their progress. Sponsorship may not be given only in cash; the Company is anxious to provide commissions which are as valuable in experience as cash. Applications may be made to the committee via The
