On August 19th 2008, The Company was pleased to award the Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers to our second Swiss Guild Member Dr Christian Steinman a Past Master of his Guild ,
He is the second member of the Zimmerleuton Guild of Zurich to become a Freeman of the Company following the late and much loved Zavier Speckert who died earlier this year
The Master sincerely hopes that Dr Steinmann’s Freedom will further add to the close association the Joiners have with the Zimmerleuton Guild of Zurich. The Guild suffered the complete destruction by fire of their Guild Hall on the banks of the River in Zurich in 2008
Rebuilding work starting shortly following much preparatory work and it is hoped that the new Hall will be ready in time for the annual Sechseläuten Festival in April 2010
