25th November 2025 @ 4:30 pm - 10:30 pm GMT

Court of Livery: 4.30pm
Winter Banquet: 6.30pm for 7.00pm
In Celebration of the 300th Anniversary of the birth of John Wilkes, Past Master Joiner and Ceiler and Lord Mayor of The City of London
The Master and Wardens invite you to attend the Winter Banquet which will be held at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Street, London EC2N 2AN. The timing for dinner will be 6.30pm for 7.00pm and dress will be white tie (or optional black tie) with neck medals or Livery breast jewels / evening dress equivalent for ladies.
Drapers’ Hall is the magnificent setting for our Winter Banquet and a fitting venue to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of John Wilkes, a man of contradictions – libertine, duellist, ex-convict, Knight of St Francis, scourge of the establishment juxtaposed with scholar, Member of Parliament, philosopher, ‘Spad’ to the founding fathers of the United States and architect of many of our historic civil liberties in the United Kingdom. In keeping with the period, students from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama will perform an opera gala for the musical interlude including The Joiners’ Song, written by a joiner around 300 years ago.
Closing date for ticket applications is 16 November 2025.
