February 16 @ 10:45 am - 4:30 pm GMT
Private tour of Mansion House and Guildhall
The Master would be delighted if you could join him for a private tour of two of the City’s most iconic buildings – Mansion House and Guildhall. As a former Alderman, the Master has been able to arrange access to areas of Mansion House and Guildhall not often open to the public.
Our day will start at Mansion House at 10.45am where a City Guide will show us the main state rooms and the vault where the Mansion House treasures are kept. Mansion House is also home to the Harold Samuel Collection of Dutch and Flemish 17th century paintings and also some fine sculptures. On completion of the tour at midday, we will walk the short distance to Guildhall for a delicious three course lunch, with wine or beer, in the exclusive Guildhall Members’ Club. At 2.30pm, we will meet our afternoon guide, Green Badge City Guide, Duncan Crole, who is the Clerk to the Woolmen’s Company. He will give us an in depth talk about the Great Hall and Amphitheatre in Guildhall before leading us through the Old Library, Print Room, Art Gallery, Chief Commoner’s Parlour and Crypts. Our day will finish around 4.30pm.
The cost of the event is £70.00 per person. Closing date for applications is Monday 12 February 2024. Places are limited so early booking is recommended.
Please note that it may be necessary to make a list minute change to the itinerary due to operational reasons at the venues.
