Summer Banquet

The Master and Wardens invite you to attend the Summer Banquet which will be held at Stationers’ Hall, Ave Maria Lane, London EC4M 7DD.  Dress will be white tie (optional black tie) with neck medals or Livery breast jewels / evening dress equivalent for ladies.

The evening will commence with a sparkling reception in the delightful private courtyard garden of Stationers’ Hall (weather permitting).  The garden is dominated by an enormous plane tree which marks the spot where heretical books, condemned by the ecclesiastical authorities, were burnt in the Tudor times.  We will then move into the Great Hall where gleaming oak flooring and carved oak panelling originating from the 1600s, together with huge stained glass windows, give the Hall an impressive ambience for the Banquet.  The great north window depicts William Caxton showing his printing press to King Edward IV.  A musical interlude during the Banquet will be given by The Clarius Trio who are musicians from The Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra.

Closing date for bookings is Sunday 26 May 2024
