The Master and Wardens invite you to attend the Summer Banquet which will be held at Apothecaries’ Hall, Black Friars Lane, London EC4V 6EJ.
The current Hall of the Apothecaries’ Society is the oldest extant livery company Hall in the City of London. Formerly the guesthouse of the Dominican Priory of the Black Friars, the original Hall burnt down in the Great Fire of 1666 and was rebuilt in 1672. In this atmospheric setting, our evening will commence with a sparkling reception in the delightful private courtyard (weather permitting). A trumpet call will signal the start of dinner and we will move into the Great Hall which remains as it was in 1672 for a delicious three course banquet. The musical interlude will take the form of a Last Night of the Proms style finale performed by the Royal Marines Association Brass Quartet.
